Power Being Restored to the Transpower Network
At 1:03pm, Transpower started to restore power
to its network following a power outage that affected the
Cambridge area since 12am this morning. Parts of Cambridge
township were livened at this time, and business and
residents in these areas will have their power back
on.
Once Transpower’s network is fully restored, Waipa
Networks, the local lines company will need up to one
further hour to gradually restore the rest of its network to
provide power to all customers.
Transpower will continue
to monitor the performance of the repaired equipment
closely.
