Trade exhibition space now open

Trade exhibition space for the 2013 Canterbury A&P Show is now open for general release with positive results achieved in bookings from returning 2012 exhibitors, who had up until May to re-book their existing sites.

Income from commercial trade exhibition space is ahead of target for 2013, with the number of confirmed exhibitors already up 6 percent on last year based on end- June numbers. “This is an outstanding result considering the bumper year we had in 2012 with the 150th anniversary celebrations. Proof that the popularity of the Canterbury A&P Show is unparalleled, attracting around 100,000 visitors each year the Show provides a fantastic opportunity for businesses to promote their brand, generate sales and connect with consumers” commented Canterbury A&P Show Event Director Geoff Bone.

Feature areas including the Food & Wine NZ Pavilion, Trade & Feature Pavilion and Rebuild Pavilion are expected to reach capacity by end-June with unprecedented high demand also experienced for outside trade sites. “We have a 42 hectare facility at Canterbury Agricultural Park for use during the Canterbury A&P Show. With the response we have received to date, five months out from the event, we are certainly looking at ways to fit more sites in the existing footprint” added Bone.

Businesses interested in exhibiting at the Canterbury A&P Show have until Thursday 5 September to take advantage of the 10% earlybird discount offer on the total site cost, subject to site availability.

This year’s 151st Canterbury A&P Show will be held Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 November at Canterbury Agricultural Park in Christchurch. It is the largest A&P Show in the country attracting 100,000 people, close to 7000 livestock and feature competition entries and 600 trade exhibitors.
