Council advises to leave out your wheelie bins

Christchurch City Council is asking all residents in Christchurch to put their bins out as normal throughout the bad weather, as they will be collected by our contractors as soon as conditions allow.

Tim Joyce, Contracts Manager for City Water and Waste Unit says, “We ask all residents to leave their bins out, as normal, and the Council kerbside collection contractors will collect once they can get their trucks back on the road. The weather is expected to hamper road conditions in the coming days, so once it is safe for the trucks to get around, they will continue collections.”

If you have any concerns or feel your bin has been missed, please contact us at the Council Call Centre on (03) 941 8999.
