OUTSIDE THE FOUR AVENUES
Parklands/ Waimairi Beach/ Burwood – one-way Beach Road until 8 August
Part of Beach Road (near the entrance to Travis Wetland Park) between the Mairehau/ Frosts Roads T-intersection and Donnington St is currently one-way eastbound only. Drivers can go towards Waimairi Beach, away from the wetland. SCIRT team Fulton Hogan is installing a new inlet manhole for the big, new pump station on Beach Road, reducing the driveable space on the road. The one-way system will be in place until Thursday, 8 August. The detour in place for westbound traffic on Beach Road is via Donnington, Cottonwood, then Tapiri St to Mairehau Road.

For background on the large wastewater pump station being installed at the Beach/ Frosts Road intersection, read the works notice. http://strongerchristchurch.govt.nz/work/activity/3082 The pump station will be completed early in 2014.

Hills Road, St Albans, one-way
Be prepared for changes between Guild and Warden St, north of Edgeware Road. Northbound traffic only for another week, then six weeks two-way before changing again. Barbadoes St is an alternative.

Opawa/ St Martins
Gamblins Road intersection with Wilsons Road closed until early August 2013.

Linwood/ Wainoni
Buckleys Road lane closure near Pages Road for pipe testing continues.

Burwood/ Avondale Bridge
Two-way traffic restored past the bridge on New Brighton Road from 26 July.

Halswell Road, opposite Coppell Place, Hillmorton
Tuesday and Wednesday, 30 and 31 July, the traffic island near Spreydon School/ Coppell Place is being planted out as part of final road restoration. Halswell Road will be just one lane westbound, away from the city, so evening drivers on their way home may have a slower journey. Please take care through this area.
