Motocrosser flown to hospital

This afternoon the Tauranga based TrustPower TECT
Rescue Helicopter was called to a farm near Edgecumbe where
a 20 year old Ohope man had fallen from his motocross while
riding on a private track. He received a head injury as a
result of the crash , he was stabilised at the scene by St
John ambulance staff before being flown to Whakatane in a
moderate
condition.

It remains to be seen if announcements today will better protect children, but the National Government is forgoing an opportunity to really help kids by ignoring the elephant in the room, which is poverty, Green Party Co-leader Metiria Turei says.
