The Rise of Destiny Church - Face Television

The Rise of Destiny Church

This week's guest In Conversation with Noel Cheer on Face Television  discusses the Destiny Church against the background of the development … or decline  … of general religious affiliation in New Zealand.

Associate-Professor Peter Lineham is an historian who teaches at Massey University in Auckland.  His major fields of research are eighteenth and nineteenth century English religious history, and New Zealand religious history.  Recently, his book, "Destiny: The Life and Times of a Self-Made Apostle" was published.

"In Conversation with Noel Cheer", Face Television, Monday August 12th at 7:00pm, repeated on Tuesday August 13th at 12 noon.

Face Television, the home of public broadcasting, is found on Sky Television Channel 83 and can also be received in the Auckland region on UHF Channels 41, 42 and 52.  It is also live-streamed on www.ecasttv.co.nz.  The website www.facetv.co.nz carries programme schedules.   Some recent episodes of In Conversation can be viewed at www.youtube.com/user/NoelCheer
