Fatal accident in Piako District

Eemergency Services are on the scene of a fatal crash at the intersection of SH26 and Lovegrove Rd on the outskirts of Te Aroha in the Matamata -Piako District. A car with a single male occupant carried on across the T-intersection and crashed into a ditch.

The car was located by police just after midnight while they were on their way to a different incident. The driver has been confirmed dead by ambulance staff.

The intersection will be closed while the Serious Crash Unit examine the scene. Diversions are in place.

New Court Orders, Screening, Guardianship Changes...: Government Ignoring Poverty, Again
