Life Flight Attends Quad bike rollover in the Wairarapa.

At approximately 12pm this afternoon the Life Flight Trust responded to a woman in her 60’s who had sustained moderate injuries in a quad bike accident on a farm in the Wairarapa near Riversdale.

Life Flight responded in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic onboard.

The Helicopter landed near the accident scene.

The woman had be a passenger on a quad bike which lost control due to extremely wet and muddy conditions going up a steep bank.

The Woman was assessed on scene and then flown to Wellington Hospitals Emergency department for further treatment

The Life Flight Trust is a charity providing air rescue and air ambulance services. It operates the Wellington based Westpac Rescue Helicopter and a nationwide air ambulance service. It remains to be seen if announcements today will better protect children, but the National Government is forgoing an opportunity to really help kids by ignoring the elephant in the room, which is poverty, Green Party Co-leader Metiria Turei says.
