Body of missing motorist recovered
Bay Of Plenty,
13 August 2013 - The body of a motorist missing since a
serious crash on the Mangatapu Bridge in Tauranga last night
has been located by police divers.
The man in his 20s was
located inside a van which has also been recovered from the
water using a crane.
His family are in the process of
being notified and a formal identification will need to take
place. The man will not be named until this process is
complete.
Police wish to acknowledge the assistance of the
Tauranga Harbour Master and the Mount Surf Lifesaving
Club.
