Aggravated robbery at Kamo dairy

Police are would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the aggravated robbery of a dairy in Whangärei yesterday (September 17) afternoon.
4.25pm three men entered Patels Dairy on Kamo Road. One of
the men was carrying a long knife and another had a wheel
The offenders demanded cash from the two staff in the shop. An elderly male customer was also present during the robbery.
The shop staff and elderly customer were not injured during the incident.
After obtaining some cash from the tills and cigarettes the offenders have run from the shop, up Kamo Rd and then along the railway tracks before heading through properties into Keyte and Jack Streets.
The offenders are described as Maori, aged between 17 and 30 years. Two of them were wearing dark coloured hoodies and the third man was wearing a white or grey top and light coloured trousers. He was also carrying a red bag. All of them had their faces covered with scarves.
Police would like to speak to the elderly man who was in the shop at the time and anyone who witnessed the robbery or saw people running through their properties around the time of the incident.
They would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered packets of cigarettes at cheap prices.
