False Alert - No tsunami warning in Bay of Plenty |

FALSE ALERT!
There is NO tsunami warning in effect.
The tsunami siren network in the eastern Bay of Plenty was triggered this morning and has resulted in numerous calls to our offices and the Police 111 Centre. This was a false trigger of the system and as yet the cause is unknown. The incident is being investigated.
