Four year old boy dies in tractor mower
accident
Hawke’s Bay Police are investigating the death
of a four-year-old boy who died after he was run over by a
tractor mower at a Hastings park this evening.
The
accident occurred at Camberley Park on Orchard Rd in
Hastings just after 5pm. Police understand the boy had been
playing at the park with older cousins when he was hit by
the tractor as it mowed the grass on the park. He died at
the scene as a result of his injuries. The tractor was
towing a rotary gang mower.
The boy is from Camberley.
His name will not be released until all family have been
notified.
The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating
and there is also an OSH investigation
underway.
