Whangärei Police are seeking help in identifying a man who robbed a service station in the city.
About 9pm on Thursday September 26, the man entered the Mobil Service Station on Walton Street, confronted the attendant and demanded cash.
The offender did not present any weapon and or threaten the attendant, but when he demanded cash he put his hand in his pocket intimating that he had some form of weapon.
The attendant handed over some
cash and the man left the service station.
He is
described as Maori, about 1.75m tall. He was wearing a denim
jacket with light grey sweatshirt sleeves and a hood, light
blue chino style track pants with a white draw cord, grey
socks and had a white cloth handkerchief over his
face.
