Police are investigating and armed robbery at the
Lynfield branch of the TAB in Hillsborough Road,
Lynfield.
Just before 8pm tonight two men wearing dark
clothing and goggles entered the TAB.
One was armed with a
firearm and used it to threaten staff and customers. They
stole a quantity of cash and left in a stolen car.
The car
was located shortly afterwards in Orcades Place about 500
metres from the TAB. No one was injured in the
robbery.
Police are looking for two men, both were wearing
dark hoodies and gloves. One was wearing silver running
shoes and dark pants.
One man is described as being of fat
build, the other slightly thinner.
Anyone with information
about the robbery is asked to contact the Avondale
CIB.
