MVC north of Taupo - 8 October 2013

Press Release: Greenlea Rescue Helicopter

This afternoon Taupo's Greenlea Rescue helicopter was called
to a single vehicle MVC on SH 1 just north of Wairakei.
A
south bound people mover with five passengers left the road
and was reported by persons at the scene to have rolled
several times in the process.
A man in his mid sixties was
flown to waikato hospital with multi system trauma to his
head chest and abdomen. Another passenger was transported by
road to Taupo and the vehicles other occupants were lucky to
escape with very minor injuries.
Just a reminder..... If
