Assault on bus driver
At about 1:30pm on the 11th
October a bus driver was assaulted on Heaphy
Terrace
outside the Claudelands Event Centre .
The bus driver,
who was on his first day on the job, had intervened in
a
domestic dispute in which a woman was being assaulted
by a man.
The man then attacked the bus driver who
suffered bruising to his face.
Police are looking for a
Maori man, wearing a grey tee shirt, blue jeans
and
carrying a sweatshirt. He has shoulder length
hair.
Anyone who witnessed the attack or can provide
further information is asked
to contact: Detective
