October meeting of the NZ Poetry Society, Wellington
Region
We're having our annual 'show and tell' evening
next week, organised by new Committee Member and
Vice-President Lonnard Watkins. Here is what he
suggests:
This month we would like to know more
about who has inspired you to write poetry. Bring along one
of your own poems to share with us and another written by a
poet who has inspired or influenced your poetic voice.
Those who love, but don't write, poetry can still come
along and read a favourite poem from someone else, even if
you don't have something of your own to share. The more the
merrier!
Monday 21st October at 7.30pm, upstairs at
the Thistle Inn, 3 Mulgrave St, Thorndon. $5 admission ($3
for NZPS members). See you
there.
