New kerbside service starts this week
The new kerbside rubbish and recycling service starts this week for all residents of Thames-Coromandel who have been given a new wheelie-bin for recycling!
Please read the Kerbside Handbook for more information.
Your collection day will be on your bin’s sticker
Starting from THIS week - here's the facts:
1. Your new collection day (for rubbish and recycling) is written on the sticker on the side of your new wheelie-bin
2. Rubbish bags are collected every week - so put out your rubbish bag on the day of the week indicated on your wheelie-bin sticker
3. Your wheelie-bin and green
crate will be collected every fortnight (every 2 weeks)
4. If your wheelie-bin shows the number 1 on its sticker, put your recycling out every two weeks from next week
5. If your wheelie bin shows the number 2 on its sticker, put your recycling out every two weeks from the week of 21 October
6. Use your green crate for collecting glass
7. Use your new black wheelie-bin for collecting paper, plastics, tins and cardboard
Still use your rubbish bags and your green recycling crate - the wheelie-bin is extra
Remember that you still get your official blue rubbish bags picked up every week on the day shown on your bin sticker.
But from Monday 14 October, your green recycling crate will only be used for glass. Plastics, cans and paper will now go in the new wheelie-bin.
Your handy kerbside handbook
