Beyonce encourages fans to #BeyGood with Barnardos New Zealand

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Barnardos New Zealand is partnering with Beyoncé’s Mrs Carter Show World Tour and her global charity campaign #BeyGood.

For Barnardos New Zealand, the one reason for their being is the children of New Zealand – Barnardos are excited to work with #BeyGood to further their work towards empowering families, communities and society to make Aotearoa New Zealand the best place in the world to be a child.

As official New Zealand charity partner of Beyoncé’s #BeyGood campaign, which encourages people to be kind, be charitable and #BeyGood to each other and their communities, Barnardos New Zealand will host a mobile donation centre at each concert. Fans are encouraged to be a part of the #BeyGood movement and bring items of clothing to the concerts to help Barnardos support children and families in need.

“We are honored at the opportunity to distribute the donated clothing items nationally to vulnerable children and families,” said Jeff Sanders, Chief Executive of Barnardos New Zealand.

Barnardos is New Zealand’s leading provider of children’s services and support. Through their work and their extensive range of services which include early childhood education, parenting courses, family support, counselling, family violence programs, residential and foster care, and 0800 What’s Up, New Zealand’s largest dedicated child helpline, they are passionate about helping all children strive.

“Barnardos offers a unique combination of early childhood and social services, which means we can meet families and communities where they are to respond to their needs,” said Jeff Sanders. “We’re proud that Beyoncé is using her platform to share the positive impact Barnardos has on local communities. We’re incredibly grateful for her support of Barnardos.”

Donors and visitors to the Barnardos New Zealand mobile donation site will also have a chance to win surprise gifts from Beyoncé including an official #BeyGood t-shirt, a personally autographed photo or even the chance to have their seat upgraded.

There is another way to support Barnardos New Zealand. To join Beyoncé in her support of the organisation and its mission, go to www.barnardos.org.nz/support-us or like Barnardos New Zealand on Facebook
