Brand New Funding Grant Launched By InternetNZ

Brand New Funding Grant Launched By InternetNZ

InternetNZ (Internet New Zealand Inc) has begun seeking applicants for its brand new Internet Research Funding grant.

InternetNZ has $60,000 available to fund individuals or organisations conducting research about the Internet. Each applicant will be eligible for up to $20,000.

The new grant round is one of many that InternetNZ offers as part of its community investment. Each year, InternetNZ invests up to $500,000 in projects and partners that align with the organisation’s objectives.

InternetNZ CEO Jordan Carter said he was thrilled to be launching the grant.

“Over the last 18 months we’ve assisted a diverse group of projects, from helping complete research around online Maori language usage to raising awareness of the barriers faced by blind and vision impaired people using the internet. This new grant is just a further extension of InternetNZ’s aims to improve Internet access and usage for New Zealanders.

“We want to hear from those with a broad range of ideas for Internet research projects. Brief outlines of proposed research are now sought and applications from any individual or organisation will be considered so long as they meet the criteria,” says Mr Carter.

Applications including a brief outline are being accepted now until 6 December. These proposals will then be shortlisted and applicants will be invited to submit a detailed proposal.
