One of Auckland’s favourite festivals is back
Newmarket Festival
14-17th November 2013
One of Auckland’s favourite festivals is back and bigger than ever.
Now running across four days, from the 14th-17th November, the Newmarket Festival showcases the finest Art, Culture, Fashion and Food, all together in one of Auckland’s premier suburbs.
The very best of Newmarket’s businesses are partnering with local and iconic artists, singers, fashionistas and industry insiders for this year’s festival, bringing the suburb to life for an event-filled few days.
Suitable for all ages, the Newmarket Festival has something for everyone to enjoy. Children can make some furry friends in store at Pumpkin Patch with Pets at the Patch Day, men can marvel at the Continental Cars Parade of Dream Machines, lusting over the Ferraris, Porsches and Lamborghinis making their way down Broadway, while fashionistas can enjoy a glass of wine and meet the eclectic team behind WORLD – Designers Denise L’Estrange-Corbet and Francis Hooper – who will be on hand to talk all things fashion.
Foodies will be in their zone as they join Newmarket’s favourite Frenchman, Jean-Christophe Poizat, at Maison Vauron for a sensorial journey of wine and cheese, while artists can gain inspiration from an array of installations, outdoor performances and gallery events as a part of Art Sunday.
This year also sees the return of a firm
favourite - The Champagne Art Trail - a collaboration
between six artists and six of the hottest fashion stores,
while a new addition to the festival at Bookbarn has
talented chef Angela Redfern, the maestro behind the
well-loved RIPE cookbooks, in store signing copies of the
must-have reads.
Tickets to the Festival will be given as a Free Gift with purchase over $50 at the participating Newmarket businesses. As well as access to festivities over the four days, ticket holders will enjoy a range of exclusive offers and discounts. Kicking off at 5pm on Wednesday 13th November and running until late Sunday 17th November, the Newmarket Festival is not to be missed.
