Peter Healy named General Manager of major Hutt Trust

The Community Facilities Trust (CFT) is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Healy as its General Manager.

Peter’s job will be to run the Trust, which is driving much needed improvements in sporting, community and recreational facilities in Hutt City. His first project will be to lead the development of the Taita Sport & Community Centre and Walter Nash Stadium redevelopment. The $14 million project is set to break ground in 2014.

“Peter is an experienced senior manager with highly developed commercial acumen, business and project management skills,” says Alister Skene, the Trust’s Chairperson.

“His skills and experience will be critical attributes for the Trust as we look to progress key infrastructure projects within Hutt City.”

Mr Healy has had a varied career including planning and economic development roles within Wellington, and senior trade and enterprise positions within Asia.

“As a Hutt resident, I have a passion for this community and I am very keen to help get Hutt City moving. The CFT will play a critical role over the next few years as we look to bring all of these community facility projects to fruition.

“It is an exciting time – and I look forward to engaging with key stakeholders, Council and the wider community as part of the process”, he said.
