DataCol brings new water management technology to Hamilton

DataCol brings advanced water management technology to Hamilton

Hamilton city is engaging DataCol, New Zealand’s leading national water data collection and management company, to help transform and increase the city’s ability to make its water resources go further.

“The new network metering system DataCol is bringing to the city allows for very high-resolution interval metering. This system presents the council water administration with an unprecedented amount of quality water network data which can then be used to make better and quicker water management decisions”, says Bruce Franks, CEO of DataCol.

Bruce says better water management is the need of the hour and Hamilton City Council is making smart investments without which ratepayers would have to spend millions of dollars building new water treatment plants.

“Hamilton’s growing water needs will be well serviced by this engagement with accurate water data collection and better management. Such water conservation efforts will ensure minimisation of water losses in the water network and in turn help manage the city’s peak summer demand”.

DataCol already works with City and District authorities across New Zealand and Australia viz. Watercare Services in Auckland, Sydney Water, Tauranga City Council among many others, partnering with them in their water conservation and management efforts.

“Our past experience and high standards of service delivery have stood us in good stead and we’ll be delivering the same quality service in Hamilton”, concluded Mr Franks.
