Police name driver killed in collision with house
Monday, 9 December 2013 -
Police have released the name of the
motorist who died after her car collided with a house-moving
trailer near Ashburton on Friday.
She was Patricia
Robertson, aged 67, of Fairlie.
The crash occurred at
Winslow, between Tinwald and Hinds, at around 10.45am on
Friday [6 December].
The deceased was the driver and sole
occupant of a car travelling north on State Highway 1. The
trailer was transporting a house southwards on SH1 and was
accompanied by pilot vehicles at front and rear.

As women celebrate March 8th, International Women’s Day, in 23 events around New Zealand, it’s timely to reflect on the fact less than a third of our Members of Parliament are women, and that occupations that women dominate, such as caregivers, are amongst the lowest paid in New Zealand, Sue Kedgley, President of UN Women NZ said today.
