Works starting along SH36 between Williams and Taumata Roads
Resurfacing works starting Tuesday along SH36 between Williams Road and Taumata Road
Motorists are advised that resurfacing works will be undertaken next Tuesday (17 December) and continue through to Wednesday 18 December along State Highway 36 between Williams Road and Taumata Road, delays are expected says the NZ Transport Agency.
The Transport Agency says a second coat of chipseal is being applied to approximately 1800 metres of the highway between Williams Road and Taumata Road, the work will be undertaken between 8.30am and 6.00pm to minimise disruption to traffic.
A temporary speed restriction of 30 km/h will be in place along with manual Stop/Go traffic management throughout the duration of the work which is expected to be completed by 6.00pm each day.
Motorists are asked to take extra care when driving through the area.
This work is weather dependent, and if wet, the work will be undertaken on the next suitable day.
