Tairua tramper's body identified
Waikato Police working to identify a body found on a popular
Coromandel walking track on Wednesday say relatives have
confirmed the man's identity.
Sergeant Damien O'Kane of
the Tairua Police said the deceased has been identified as a
50-year-old Rotorua man.
"He was identified in Waikato
Hospital last night and Police would like to extend our
sympathies to the man's family for their loss.

As women celebrate March 8th, International Women’s Day, in 23 events around New Zealand, it’s timely to reflect on the fact less than a third of our Members of Parliament are women, and that occupations that women dominate, such as caregivers, are amongst the lowest paid in New Zealand, Sue Kedgley, President of UN Women NZ said today.
