State Highway 1 Dromore

Police and Fire Service are at a
series of fires along state highway 1, Dromore, South
Canterbury. It is unknown how the fires started.
on the main south line have been stopped as a safety
State Highway1 has been closed with a detour
around the scene. The approximate detour is at SH1 &
Somerton Rd in the south and SH1 & Wilkinsons Rd in the
north. Mootorists are advised to take care in the area and
follow the directions of the police points men and the
detour signs. The detour will only add about 15 minutes to
the time to travel through the area.
