Fatal crash in Kaprio Road, Kerikeri

At about 8.10a.m. today Police were advised of a motor vehicle collision between a car and cycle on Kapiro Road, Kerikeri.

The rider of the cycle subsequently passed away and has now been identified as William Bayliss, a 54 year old local man.

Road closures are now in place on at Kapiro Road and Redcliffes and Kapiro and SH10 and are expected to remain in place until mid afternoon.

The Northland Serious Crash Unit are investigating and a person is currently being spoken to in relation to the vehicle collision.
