Gas leak - Hamilton - Waikato

"Police News Alert Issued *** 10.20am, February 6th (Thursday) ***"

SH1 – Road Closure in Hamilton.

Police would like to advise motorists that a section of SH1 in Hamilton has been closed due to a gas leak. Diversions are in place, and as at 10:00am are expected to be needed for a number of hours.

The incident is on Greenwood Street near Kahikatea Drive.

Please use alternate routes where possible, so as to avoid the area and ease congestion.

If you have to travel through the area please be patient and expect delays.
