Man arrested following attempted robbery

Police have arrested a 47-year-old man
in relation to the attempted robbery of a Whangärei
About 6.20pm on Thursday February 13, the
man entered the Whau Valley Fish and Chip shop and allegedly
handed a note over demanding cash.
As well as being
charged with attempted robbery, the Auckland man is facing
charges of theft-ex car and unlawful taking of a motor
