Christchurch Weather Warnings

Motorists in the Christchurch area are urged to drive to the conditions that are prevailing in the area at the moment.

Owing to the bad weather overnight some roads are flooded and there are problems with traffic flows. If motorists need to travel, they are reminded to reduce their speed and drive to the conditions they find.

Dyers Pass Road is between the Sign of the Kiwi and Governors Bay is closed due to a slip overnight. the City Council are attending trying to clear it.

In low lying area there are several other road closures and drivers are asked not to ignore road closed signs in the hope that they are able to make it through.
