School Arson

School Arson

In the early hours of Sunday the 9th of March 2014, Cashmere Avenue School on Cashmere Avenue and Saint Benedicts School on Nicholson Road in Khandallah were the subject of Arsons where rubbish bins were set alight.

The Arson at Cashmere Avenue School had potential for the entire school to be destroyed as one of the buildings caught alight and it was only the quick response by a neighbour that left the building suffering moderate damage.

This is obviously concerning behaviour exhibited by an individual(s) and the District Crime Squad would like any information from the public as to the identity of the person(s) who have caused this damage, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area overnight on Saturday the 8th of March and the early hours of Sunday the 9th of March 2014.

If you are able to assist with this matter please call the District Crime Squad on (04) 381-2077.
