Police have arrested a second offender
in relation to the aggravated robbery of the Scarlet Lounge
in Whangärei last year.
On the night of Tuesday July 9
two men walked into the Scarlet Lounge on Clyde Street and
allegedly presented a knife at two women on the premises and
demanded some money. They left with some cash and other
items.
The 36-year-old man appeared in the Whangärei
District Court on March 4 on a charge of aggravated robbery
and was remanded in custody to appear again on Monday March
24.
The 36-year-old man is jointly charged with a
23-year-old man, who was arrested late last year.
