about 1p.m. today Auckland Police attended a collision
between a launch and a runabout in Sergeants Channel,
As a result of the impact, the runabout
was sunk and two persons received moderate injuries. The
injured parties have been transported to Auckland Hospital
and are in a stable condition.
The injured persons are
described as a 52 year old male and a 44 year old
Police and Maritime NZ are investigating.

Greens: Oil Drilling Face-Off With Labour

1. Prohibit deep sea oil drilling;
2. Implement compulsory shipping lanes for coastal shipping;
3. Build Maritime New Zealand’s oil spill response capability; and
