At about 8:38 this morning
the Police received a report of a large diesel spill on SH2
between Clarke Road and Te Puna Station Road in the Bay of
Plenty. The spill has resulted in diversions being put in
place until the road has been cleaned. These diversions are
in the vicinity of Wairoa Bridge onto Te Puna Station Road
and at the western end of the spill the diversion is at
Clarke Road and SH2. The road will be closed for several
hours.
