Truck Crash Diesel spill. - SH5 Waiotapu road Rotorua - Bay of Plenty

Truck Crash/diesel spill, State Highway 5, Waiotapu road, Rotorua. 0430hrs;

Police and emergency services are at the site of a truck crash on SH5 by Waiotapu road, Rotorua which happened at 0430hrs this morning. The male driver has been transferred to Rotorua hospital with moderate injuries. No other persons were in the truck at the time of the crash. No other vehicles involved.

Diversions are in place and will be for the next 2 to 4 hours.

Diversion: North to Rotorua From Taupo take SH1 and into SH30.

South From Rotorua, from SH30 to SH1.
