Aggravated robbery at Whangarei liquor store

Police are investigating the aggravated robbery of a Whangärei liquor store on Saturday night.
About 7.00pm a man entered the Kamo Liquorland store and presented a firearm at the lone store assistant.
The man then left the store with some bottles of alcohol, some cash and cigarettes.
He was last seen walking across the carpark to Clark Road, then turned into Griffin Street where a vehicle was heard leaving the area.
The man was wearing a dark hooded jacket, a dark cap with a white peak and black track pants with white stripes down the sides and running shoes. He had a blue bandana with a white pattern covering his face.
