Fatal crash on SH54, Feilding
At approximately 5:30pm on Monday Manawatu Police attended a single vehicle crash on SH54, Feilding.
A member of the public witnessed the crash and immediately called emergency services. Police, the Fire Service, and Ambulance attended the scene.
Initial indications suggest the vehicle has left the road and ended up in a culvert. First aid was administered to the single male occupant, aged in his early 50s, however he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit has launched an investigation into the crash and is currently conducting a scene examination.
Police will not release any further details about the man until his next of kin has been informed and formal identification has been completed.
