Police investigation into death at Wairau Hospital
The Police investigation into the death of a
patient while undergoing surgery at Wairau Hospital in May
2012 has been completed.
The investigation file has been
independently reviewed by the Tasman Crown Solicitor who has
concluded that the evidence gathered does not reach the
threshold for prosecution and no charges will be laid.
matter has now been referred back to the Coroner.

been a lengthy and thorough investigation.
