On Sunday 1st June 2014 the Godfrey
Memorial Motocross event was being held in Waipara.
11am during an event one of the riders crashed. He
subsequently died at the event from the injuries sustained
during the crash.
This person that died is a 14 year old
male from the North Island.
The motocross event was
cancelled following the crash.
Local police attended along
with the police serious crash unit and OSH. Police are
currently investigating and are unable at this stage to what
