Suspected Clandestine Laboratory discovered

Suspected Clandestine Laboratory discovered


At about 7.30am Saturday 14th June 2014 Police were notified by New Zealand Fire Service of a suspicious blaze at an address in Te Kauwhata.

On examination it has been discovered that the fire was caused by a suspected Clandestine Laboratory. Police have then taken over in an investigative capacity with the assistance of specialist units.

The occupants are known to Police and were not present at the time of the fire.

Police reiterate that Clandestine laboratories are a hazard to the public in general and any suspicious behaviour should be reported to Police, if anonymity is preferred call Crime Stoppers on 0800-555-111.
