Crash into weigh bridge building


Police are seeking the occupants of a car that crashed into the building at the weigh bridge on State Highway One south of Whangärei on Saturday morning.

Just after midnight the car, a 2001 grey/silver Subaru Legacy, left the road as it was heading south and crashed into the weigh bridge building near Uretiti.

The occupants left the car. A Police dog was used to help find the occupants, but could not locate them.

Police would like to hear from anyone who picked up any hitchhikers on State Highway One after midnight on Saturday June 28.
