Extreme concern for missing person

Timaru police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Shelley LURAJUD of Wai-iti Road, Timaru.

They are extremely concerned for her wellbeing.
Shelley is 43 years old and has severely impaired sight and hearing, and usually walks with the aid of a cane. She is 4’11” (150cm) tall, slim and has short black hair. She wears spectacles and a hearing aid.

She was last seen by her father at 2.30pm on Tuesday the 1st of July, and intended to go for a walk in the vicinity of the Aigantighe Art Gallery in Wai-iti Road. At that time she was wearing a maroon pullover, black tights and short black boots.

She failed to ring her family by 8.00pm and has not returned home overnight.

Enquiries reveal that she has not taken her purse or any warm clothing with her.

If anyone has seen, or has any information in relation to the whereabouts of Shelley can they please contact the duty Sergeant at Timaru Police Station on 06879808.
