Body confirmed as missing woman

The police can confirm the body found at 11.00am on a Timaru beach today is that of local woman Shelley Lurajud.
Shelley was last seen at about 3.10pm in Campbell Street Timaru on Tuesday the 1st of July.
A post mortem will be conducted in Christchurch tomorrow.
The police are now investigating this matter on behalf of the Coroner and are not looking for anyone else in connection to this incident.
The Police would like to thank the public of Timaru for their assistance with this enquiry.
