Section of SH2 south of Katikati closed after fatal
crash
A section of State Highway 2(SH2)
between Tauranga and Katikati is currently closed after a
fatal crash near Whakamarama.
The NZ Transport Agency
advises motorists to avoid the area if
possible.
Northbound traffic is being detoured via Apata
Station Road and southbound traffic is being detoured via
Wainui South Road onto Esdaile Rd.
Heavy vehicles are
unable to use the detours and will remain parked at the road
closure until the highway is reopened.
