Fatal Crash in Palmerston North

Friday, 1 August 2014 - 7:45am

At 5.55am this morning, Police were advised that a car had struck a male pedestrian on Rangitikei Line in Palmerston North. The male has died at the scene and the sole male occupant of the car is obviously very shaken but not injured.

The accident scene is about 6km’s north of Palmerston North City between Newbury Line and Hansens Line. Police Serious Crash Unit is at the scene with other support units. The road will be closed for the next 1-2 hours while a scene examination is conducted.
