HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

Counties-Manukau Police have launched a Homicide Investigation after a male
was discovered deceased in Norman Spencer Drive, Papatoetoe this evening.

Detective Inspector Dave Lynch says that Police and Ambulance were called to
the location at about 7.45pm this evening.
A male was located in a vehicle parked on Norman Spencer Drive.

He was deceased when Police and ambulance arrived at the scene.

Due to the nature of his injuries, Police have commenced a Homicide
Investigation which will be known as Operation Bastille.

Police are speaking to the partner of the deceased man who is believed to
have witnesses events leading up to the mans death which is expected to give
Police a better understanding of what occurred.
