Truck Crash Road Closure - SH 1 Otaki Kapiti Coast - Central
Police and the Fire Service are currently dealing with a single truck crash on SH 1 at the northern end of Otaki township.
The crash has brought down power lines across SH 1 and created disruptions to the electricity supply in the immediate area.
The stretch of SH 1 affected will be closed until tomorrow morning and as a result traffic diversions are in place.
Northbound traffic will need to turn right into Rahui Road from SH 1, then left into Freemans Road, left again into Te Manuao Road and then back onto SH 1. Southbound traffic do the reverse.
There will be contractors assisting motorist through the diversion throughout the night.
No one was injured in the initial crash.
