Helicopter Crash - Mount Alta, Wanaka -
At 12.20pm today police were notified of
a helicopter crash on Mount Alta near Wanaka.
A local heli
ski helicopter with a pilot, ski guide and 5 skiers were on
Several of the these people have been injured, but
it is not known the extend of those injuries.
helicopters along with the Queenstown and Dunedin rescues
helicopters are on scene with medical staff assisting those
that have been injured.
