At about 11.15am
today a 12-year-old girl was delivering newspapers down Bain
Street, Mount Maunganui.
An unknown male has been parked
in a white van on Bain St, near the corner of Riverton Road.
Initial reports indicate that the van may have had some form
of writing or graphics on the side of it.
As the young
girl has walked past the van the male has grabbed her by the
arm. The girl has run off to a nearby house and police have
been contacted.
Fortunately the young girl was not
physically harmed.
Police would like to hear from anyone
who was in the vicinity of Bain St, Mount Maunganui around
11.15am and may have seen this vehicle.
